If you read more, it looks like Mel's a proponent of home gardening as part of his religious beliefs, to make sure that his family and others similar to him are ready for an apocalypse. The rest of us are just picking up on his work. I think he donates his profits to his religious interests, which doesn't bother me in the least, but I just find it interesting. Makes him seem less like a shill, I guess.</description>

Just went out today, spent about 15 minutes weeding, planting canteloupe and flowers. My chard is starting to sprout. Waiting for cucumbers, celery. The squash, tomatoes, cilantro, basil, green onions, peppers, carrots are all coming along nicely.</description>
