i saw something in the basement last night. it was about two inches long, and it scuttled like an arachnid of some type, but it wasn’t a spider or a scorpion. it looked like it would crunch if you stepped on it, but it didn’t have a shell, so i *think* it was an insect. it got away from me and i wished i’d had my cam handy so i could post it.
That is one very freaky looking bug. I’ve never seen one like it and sure never want to! It DOES look like it is smiling at you. And I thought that the freaky Camel Crickets I had in NJ were weird looking…but that critter sure tops those.
Maybe you can take the pic to an exterminator and they can tell you what it is????

That is nasty looking. I think it’s some kind of ant. Dunno though.
