Recent campaigns I’ve written puzzles for have included Vroengard Academy (for Christopher Paolini’s Brisingr) and NoKnownSurvivors (for EA’s Dead Space).
If you’re interested in seeing one of my puzzles from NoKnownSurvivors, the “straight stroke” puzzle from chapter 1.3 is here.

The following is a puzzle from Vroengard Academy.

Puzzle #1: Mandrake

The Mandrake fairth shows a cutaway view of the potent root in the ground.  From the main part of the root extend many multi-fingered tendrils.  Going around the root from top left to bottom to top right, the solver counts the number of fingers on each tendril to determine the sequence of notes.

Lower difficulty: Each tendril is approximately the same length and color.  Each tendril is significant and contains a number in the solution.

Higher difficulty: There are extra tendrils which are differentiated by color, length, or size.  These additional tendrils have varying numbers of fingers, but these numbers are not used to solve the puzzle.
