How long have you had a weblog?<\/b> Since April of this year, although I had been meaning to start one for a long time before I actually did.  It was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gigasprite.com\/blog\">M.S.<\/a> who finally sent me over the edge towards blogdom.<br \/>\n<b>2. What was your first post about? <\/b> My first post was announcing my intentions to start a blog.  Duh.  My first post with any content was describing a weird dream I had.  You can read them both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.addlepated.net\/archives\/2002_04.html\">here<\/a>.<br \/>\n<b>3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one?<\/b> I changed from &#8220;My Schtuff&#8221; to &#8220;Fresh, Hot Wastes of Time&#8221;, and I bought the domain name of addlepated.net in the middle of May.<br \/>\n<b>4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else?<\/b> I just switched from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogger.com\">Blogger<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.movabletype.org\">Movable Type<\/a> and I&#8217;m really happy I did.  I like not having to depend on another server to be up, and I haven&#8217;t had a post munged since I switched.  It&#8217;s a total bitch to set up but ultimately worth it.<br \/>\n<b>5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place?<\/b> Yes, I read both.  I have varied interests.  My daily reads include all of the blogs on the sidebar, as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fark.com\">Fark<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metafilter.com\">Metafilter<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/blogdex.media.mit.edu\/\">Blogdex<\/a>, which are all sort of community blogs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
