Thanks to SeƱor los Pantalones for the link… Culturegraph is the best site I’ve seen in a long, long time. Maybe since LOLCats.

Remember when

This HBO intro was the shiznit 25 years ago. It took them 3 months to build the model. No CGI animation. Nowadays I bet a 17 year old could hack it together in 20 minutes.

P.S. Get off my lawn.

Majestic Postmortem

This is mostly to keep myself from going crazy in 2 years when I’m looking for this link again.

Postmortem of Majestic by one of its designers.

Also, I turned off the Twitter digest posting for now, although there will still be some over in the sidebar. It was just too creepy to have it automatically update my blog without intervention.

Tweet tweet

I’m playing around with integrating my Twitter stream and my blog. Technically, this plugin should create a daily digest of my tweets and post it here on the blog. It should also take blog posts and Twitter them. Hopefully it doesn’t get caught up in an endless loop.

For those wondering, Twitter is sort of like a microblog that allows easy, small updates that you can access from several sources. It’s a lot faster and easier than posting a blog entry, although you only have a very limited amount of space to say anything, so in-depth stuff is better on an actual blog.
