UPS Sucks
August 7, 2002 - 9:23 pm
Yes indeedy they do.
They loaded my package on the wrong truck, so it didn’t come today. We told them not to bother delivering it tomorrow. Hub will go pick it up so at least we know what time it will get here.
It had my iPod in it, which I had been planning on playing with all night. It also had the DVDs that I’ve been promising my 2 yo all day long would be here.
I’m annoyed. 2 yo’s annoyed. Hub’s annoyed. 11 month old’s annoyed, but mainly because she still has a fever.
Which brings me to my other point. Since the baby’s still sick, we’re canceling our trip this weekend. We were planning on going to the ranch and watch the meteor shower. Oh well, it’s supposed to rain all damned weekend anyway.
Damnit.

I stole a pen from my UPS guy for you.
August 8th, 2002 at 5:02 am
The act of stealing it, not the pen. That’s mine.

I can say this now that you’ve gotten your iPod, and assuming everything is okay with it…UPS DOES suck! I worked for them for about 2 months, in one of their warehouses in CT. They are frickin’ slave drivers, fuckers! And i can honestly say that whenever it can be avoided, I will not ship via UPS. Let’s just say they do not “handle with care” very well…

Yeah UPS sucks the big one. Screw those fascists! It took them way to long to get my package out here- and when it got here it looked like a fricken cow had jumped on the box.
Boo! Boo! Boo!

I have an online business and use U.S. postal service which is pretty good, I’ve done thousands of transactions and only have one lost pakage claim which was a delivered item stolen off the customers porch. Every time I use UPS for either shipping or receiving there is a problem. I thought maybe UPS by me sucked but it seems to be a widespead opinion.

Ha Ha! This is great! Reading this gives me great joy! I am a UPS driver and I agree. UPS sucks. I deliver a least 50 damaged or broken packages a day. It’s really not my fault, usually when I get to work, my car is loaded to the gills and with no care to how the packages are loaded. I usually pull out 2 or 3 smashed packages before I even leave the building. Otherwise, I just deliver them, broken or not. Sometimes, I might take a hard turn and jump a curb and all the packages fall on top of each other. This cause thousands of dollars in damages, but hey, what can I do? You should try getting your lazy ass in this job and see how you do. My friggin’ back is killin’ me. So if you have a complaint, tell someone who gives a shit. What makes you think I care if you get your percious little package on time and unbroken or not. No matter what, the paychecks keep coming into my bank account.

UPS sucks to hell!!! My story today is simple: UPS delivered my package to somewhere I don’t know, and told me it’s been delivered and signed by someone (not even a fake signature of mine)!!! So I lost my package!

They are too lazy to come up stairs to my apartment for a second attempt. NO, they have to go down to the manager’s office of my complex. Of course the manager is gone and they leave their second attempt note on her office window. Common sense would of said, try her apartment to see if anyone is there today. Not only did I make arrangements for someone to be there for delivery, but I also called Un-personal-satisfaction!!! (U.P.S.) to see if they can come back out. The driver of course tells his people a completely different story. They never came back out!!!! NOW I AM READY TO GO ON A , “I HATE U.P.S. STRIKE” !!!!!

I received a damaged parcel for which I paid the shipping. UPS told me that they would pick up the item and the box in which it was shipped. Two months later I heard nothing so I called UPS. They told me that they are responsible only to THE SHIPPER (mailboxes et in CA) and that I have to call them in California. WHAT!? Then mailboxes et. will send a check to the guy from whom I bought the item on ebay. They take MY item that I paid for and that I paid shipping on, that they broke and they give restitution to a guy who I don’t know?! Now I am out the price of shipping ($75.00) and the price for the items ($42.00). I would have tried to fix it had I known. I told them that I was going to start “upssucks.com” and take them to court .
THEN:
I get a call from Brian Westbrook of UPS saying that they are going to call the local Sheriff because I threatended to “blow up a UPS facility and post on a website that I had done so”. UPS just made this crap up to try to intimidate me. They didn’t count on the fact that I record all my calls. When I told Mr. Westbrook this he became less specific about supposed bomb threats

I sent my pool cue to Viking to have a shaft made. UPS shows up with my cue and new shaft the COD was $50 something…. I give the guy a hundred.
UPS Dude:”Oh i don’t have change for that”
Tim: OK just take the hundred and then mail me a check for the differance.
UPS Dude: “can’t do that. Maybe tomorrow I will have change.”
Tim: “OK then (getting a bit disgusted) come back tomorrow knowing that I am going to pay with this bill and just make sure that you have change.
UPS Dude: OK
NEXT DAY—-
Same fucking thing!!!!!! “no change” but they only deliver three times then the item gets sent back to the sender.
UPS Dude: “Hopefully tomorrow I will have change”
Tim: “”hopefully” that’s not good enough. I have the money to pay, you have my item and I told you to be prepared to bring change.” I have kept my side of this contract I have the money to pay, you didn’t tell me that I have to have exact change otherwise the item would be sent back to the shipper. Now give me my cue!
UPS Dude: Can’t do that.
I went into the house and scrounged for a bunch of bills and change and was able to pay without using the large bill. Otherwise it would have been sent back to Viking.

Addition to the above:
I live way the heck out in the country and I would have had to drive 34 miles round trip just to get change for my 100 dollar bill. If UPS is going to accept COD’s they had better be prepared to have some change. Otherwise a COD parcel delivery is dependent upon luck of the draw (weather or not the delivery guy has change).
Oh and make that “difference” not differance…. sorry

Note to Tim (above post)
UPS COD=Collect on Delivery, UPS has not accepted cash for a COD for a while now.

UPS SUCKS!!! I agree, my husband was a ups driver for almost 15 years, worked 12 hours a day busted his ass,, for what ? the dyke bitch manager to follow him and harrass him, because a member of managment wanted his route to train on. ups treats their employees as bad as they do the packages, and they dont care! so long as they have YOUR money!! they harrass the drivers , work them long hours and demand more from them every day. at ups it is the workers against managment. and everyday is a fight and they love it! well in piqua SHE does. put a feather in your hat diane. and KISS MY ASS UPS!!!!!!!!!
June 23rd, 2003 at 3:57 pm
don’t these idiots know how to use the estimated delivery time fields on their own forms!?! They had me waiting at all different hours for a delivery. I hate these dumb@$$3$!
June 23rd, 2003 at 7:02 pm
do realize that ups drivers in piqua can expose themselves to you or your wife and keep their job? use cocaine on the job? tear off next day air labels and deliver them 3 days later even though you paid for next day air and keep their jobs? are you aware of how corrupt managment is in the ups corp.? well I am, and I will never have a good word or dollar , for that matter to go to ups. and dont expect anything from the union, ups even has the teamsters under their thumb. ups is the largest company and bullies in the united states and have went globel. I think mr. hoffas father would turn in his grave if he seen how teamsters are letting ups dictate them. brown is the perfect color for that peice of shit company!!!

Just to make you aware of YOUR rights when your packages are damaged or lost,,,, ups is responsible for them they will pay for them or any damage done to your yard if they damage it or any of your property, even a door that might not have closed tight and it is damaged. so you do have the right to make a financial claim against them even for the slightest thing. just keep that in mind the next time ups pisses you off. =)

HAHAHAHA you think you stories are bad HAHAHAHA. OK I ordered a 10LBS CO2 tank off the internet and got it shiped through UPS in a wooden create which was in a card board box. with thous funky little S things. Now this tank is rated for 1800PSI and shouldn’t need all this packing anyway. Well when they UPS guy came to delever it I could see the little S foam things comming out of it as he walked up the path to my front door. I asked what happend, he said probably a little accident. thinking that a CO2 tank was vertualy in destructable I signed for it and left the packge by my front door because I didn’t have time to open it. I had to leave for work be for I could open it.. after a hard days work I come home and start =the unpacking. first the cardboard box then I had to take the crow bar to open the wooden creat and then I removed the tank from the S things.. There was a huge dent in it! It looks like something (a steel bar or something perhaps) when through the create and dented the CO2 tank. This would have required a incredible amout of fource.. they blamed it first on improper packing… HAHAHA… and then that is must have be dammaged befor they got it.. In any case they refused to pay me for the damaged tank even though they are soposed to cover $100 automatically if they package is damaged or lost. one prase says it all UPS SUCKS! HOW THE HELL DO THEY STAY IN BUISNESS?
June 25th, 2003 at 7:09 pm
they stay in business by trying to bully people around, if you pushed it hard enough and wouldnt take no for an answer, they would have paid for your tank. their golden rule is to always say they arent responsible, but they
will pay for it if you push it. they think they can get away with anything they want. hey they got your money and you got a junk tank,, whos the winner? the brown piece of corrupt shit. they make 24.00 an hour kicking your shit around, and I seen my ups delivery guy test driving a new vehicle today on ups time, which I am sure was on over time pay, yet my next day air package was late. so I am putting in a call to the ups 800 number and reporting the squirrly bastard. they get paid very very well, and get to take out their frustration on our packages by throwing them and kicking them, this is where I take out my frustration, and this is on my free time. the average driver makes 65000.00 a year. and where does that money come from? US,thats who.

I worked there for 6 years. If it wasn’t for the market share they’ve gained through their original business model and the huge ad expenses this company would be in the tank.
The business culture is so effed up. It pits management against union and management against management. I’m not a big union supporter, but at UPS, management people are the some of the biggest assholes I’ve ever met.
After having been there about a year, I was actually instructed in how to throw packages into the feet of co-workers in front of me on the conveyor belt as a lesson to them for failing to pull the package from the belt. The “instructor” went on to be a manager overseeing operations in a large metro area. That’s the tip of the iceberg.
Don’t use ’em.
