Florida is requiring girls who put babies up for adoption to publish in the newspaper their name, description, and past sexual history. Sadly this is not an Onion article.
Yo, bro, you have that mother knocked. Word.

LitterMaid LM500 Automated Litter Box… just so you know, these things are a total waste of money. I’ve tried them two different times, and ended up throwing them both away. The rolling litter box is ok. I just don’t think anything can beat the scoop-it-out method. Happily, it’s cheapest to do it that way.

Omni Swings n’ Things 588 Blue Olefin Hammock Chair Cushion (what good’s a cushion without a chair?)
Senco SLP20 Brad Nailer with Case (I knew a guy named Brad. Didn’t want to nail him though.)
Wagner Power Products 0156060 Cordless Power Roller (BTDT.)
JDS 750JE Air Cleaner includes Electrostatic Pre-Filter a $47.99 Value (Price: $224.99 – how is this a $47.99 value?)
Franklin MWD-1440 Dictionary and Thesaurus with Bookman II (that’s what dictionary.com is for.)

You know, sometimes when I go up the stairs, there are 7, and sometimes there are 12. If I actually sit and count them while I’m looking at them, there are 11. If I count while walking up them, the number varies.

This can only mean one of two things. First, that I have magical stairs that change their number in fits of capriciousness, or second, that I’m not very observant.

I vote for magic stairs.

Why?

Why is this man doing this to his face?
Why is this girl doing this to her rat?
Why are these dogs wearing those things?
Oh, and do you know whose boobs those are?

Amazon gold box

Riedel Vinum Single Malt Scotch Glasses, Set of 6 (cool, but $70, sheesh)
SanDisk 128 MB Cruzer Data Storage Device
Simply Calphalon Nonstick Anodized 10-Piece Cookware Set (I love our Calphalon cookware, but wish we had more nonstick. If this stuff had the stay-cool handles I’d be all over it.)
Oneida Satin Accent 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 4
West Bend 79586 6-Quart Capacity Electric Wok

All stuff I’m much more likely to buy than a $1000 table saw.

Well, I went and did it. I bought an iPod. Now before you go calling me an Apple flunky, let me explain. I actually did not plan on buying an iPod. I didn’t want one – I thought they were too trendy and/or too expensive. I researched MP3 players for days, trying to see what player to get that 1) had a large capacity, 2) used Firewire and not USB, 3) had a good price, 4) worked on both PC and Mac, and 5) wasn’t too heavy. The only one that met all the criteria was the iPod. The Rio Riot is nice, but USB, which means that it takes about 8 minutes to transfer a CD as opposed to Firewire’s 10 seconds.

Now I don’t have to haul my CDs to the gym, and when we go on our marathon holiday drives (Thanksgiving: 3 hours plus 4 hours plus 3 hours, for example) we don’t have to take a stack of 15 CDs if we want to listen to an audiobook.

After a week of trying, I finally got an account over at Metafilter. They open up 20 slots at noon PST daily, and I could never get in until today.

Arf!
