What’s the stinking TERM?

Ok, people – it’s 2003 already and nobody can seem to decide what to call the decade. Is it the “Oh-ties”? The “Aughties”? What are they going to call the seriously dumb television show in 30 years based on this time, a la That Seventies Show?

I’ve heard the “naughty aughts”, but I am at a loss… that seems so silly. Then again, so did “gay ninties” and “roaring twenties”

i can picture ‘aughties’ being confused with ‘audis’.
um, besides calling it ‘what-the-hell-do-you-call-this’ decade, i have no real idea. D2K (decade 2000)?

Thought you’d be interested in knowing that the term Naughty Aughties, is a registered trademark owned by Scott Pedersen of Ithaca NY. There is a press release out, and an article was published 0n 1/3/04 in The Ithaca Journal.

I think it’s a catchy description of these young years of 2000. I don’t hear anyone else coming up with something and this shoe fits.
