Names

You can rest assured that we’d never ask opinions on naming our human children, but canine children are another story. Should we happen to pick up a puppy this afternoon, she’d need a name. We’re looking at girl chocolate Labs. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far:
Kona
Godiva
Mocha
Margarita (to match our big yellow Cuervo guy)
Tootsie
Puddin
Bonnie
Kahlua
Kiss
Snickers
Añeja
I’m leaning towards Godiva, though I also like hub’s favorites of Kona and Mocha. Anyone have any suggestions?

I like Godiva. I dunno if you use nicknames, but what’s the shortened version? ‘Here God, c’mon! Get back here God! Good girl.’ 😉
I think animals respond best to two-syllable names (so I’ve heard somewhere).
I like Mocha; it’s yummy and rich. Also, calling her Mo would be better than Ko.
Tootsie and Snickers are also good. My rank: Mocha, Tootsie, Snickers.

howdy! i stumbled here from saucyvox…and saw the pictures of the puppy and had to comment! we have a chocolate lab as well, and when jr. was four, she named her “cocoa” – we call her cocoa puff a lot, but..i LOVE some of your suggested names.
the idea of something to match Cuervo makes me smile, but i like Kona and Mocha, too!
good luck and she’s beautiful!
