The East Bay Express ran a wordy article yesterday basically accusing Yelp.com of being a technological Mafia, running a protection racket for businesses who agreed to advertise with them and highlighting negative reviews for businesses who turned down the advertising offers.

Yelp’s rather terse retort basically says, “No way, you guys, advertisers still have negative reviews, and besides, your sources suck.”

Not exactly compelling.

Notice the fact that he’s dressed in what appears to be the same suit. He claims to be leaving acting to follow a career in hiphop. You make the call. Is he serious? Is he on drugs? Is he pulling an Andy Kaufman/Tony Clifton?
