Since June 9:

350 attempted comments have been blocked by the Blacklist plugin
I don’t have a count of how many comments have NOT been blocked, but I have added 100 URLs to the Blacklist.

Simply put, the spammers have been making it not fun anymore. So I upgraded to Movable Type 3.0. This means that if you want to comment, you have to sign up with TypeKey. They don’t require a lot of info and they don’t spam you after you sign up. It’s just a level of accountability. I hope you choose to keep commenting even though it means you have to go through an extra step.

And yes, I know some of my templates look like ass right now. I still need to tweak my CSS settings!

I upgraded to Movable Type 3.0. Many things are broken, including the comments. Bear with me; I hope to get it fixed sometime in the next couple of days. If you need something in the meantime, email me. Link’s on the right-hand bar.

I’ve just now discovered the Joy of RSS. I fiddled around with my templates and updated my RSS 1.0 template. The 0.91 template is not updated, but it’s available here. If people still use this, let me know and I can tweak it for you. I’ll also put a link over on the right for the 1.0 template.

I thought I’d make a bajillion dollars by putting in a Google AdSense toolbar on my site. They won’t take me because it’s a personal site, though. Oh well. Perhaps I’ll put in an Amazon thingie.

While I was out of town from Thursday until Sunday, I got over 70 spam-ments. That’s assholes who run scripts to spam my comments. Although it completely goes against my philosophy, I’m considering turning off comments until there’s some way to fix this.

Leave it to spammers to turn something great into shit.

Just be warned. If you leave a comment spam on my blog, it will get changed into something rude.

Ruder than spamming my comments, anyway. So piss off, you craptastic zip code and life insurance site dickbags.

Well, I’m in serious mourning. After 3 great weeks of play, it looks like Acheron has shut down. There’s a new Matrix-based ARG that popped up on October 1st, but holy carp, it’s a huge and elaborate production and I have a feeling the pace is going to move too quickly for me to keep up.

My only hope is that this is a temporary glitch in Acheron (or even part of the plot), but it’s a slim hope. Now what in the hell am I going to obsess on?
