I just read “Guts” by Chuck Palahniuk. I think that was probably the grossest thing I’ve ever read. He claims that 67 people have fainted at various functions around the world where he has read it out loud. I think it’s possible. It’s x-rated and medically disgusting. Just in case you still aren’t convinced, read it here.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. If you’re my aunt, you should not click that link. Promise.

I always get a kick out of seeing my name in the credits on a game. I have been beta-testing game titles on the Macintosh for about 5 years. Tropico 2 just came out and I got a copy in the mail today. I had a blast testing it. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it at all, but I got pretty addicted to it. The other day as we were driving through Louisiana, I recognized the sugarcane solely from playing that game. Sad, but true.

To (ahem) get the taste of that last link out of my blog…
Dracula in blog form.
Contagious media experiments.
Lots of people getting brain freezes (what’s interesting is that many people in the video had the same physical reaction – lift chin, bend over… must be some instinctive drive?).
Other contagious media experiments (chances are you have already been emailed one of these, or read it on a blog or message board.

After boasting to a friend the other day that I’ve never had any weird experiences while in New Orleans, last night at dinner someone tapped me in the back. And I was sitting up against the wall.
Zoinks.

Interesting comment I got the other day. It appears to be a sort of a trailhead for a substitution puzzle. Several keys were given to 20 different bloggers via comment. They lead to a website at http://aequalswhat.blogspot.com/ with a cipher to solve. The commentees need to get together to pool our clues. Shades of The Westing Game!
Unfortunately the guy who posted the comments has been spanked because people thought he was leaving them spam.
If you’re one of the other recipients of a key, contact me at the mail address listed on the right sidebar.

We’re off to New Orleans this weekend to celebrate our birthdays and our wedding anniversary. Anyone have a favorite place that we just shouldn’t miss while there? I’m particularly considering a swamp tour since I’ve never done one in that area. We did in Costa Rica and I really enjoyed it.
